Formnext 2024, a great success!

From November 19th to 22nd, ArcelorMittal Powders participated in Formnext (Frankfurt, Germany), the world's largest additive manufacturing trade fair. Our 100-square-meter booth featured distinct areas showcasing the contributions of Steel Additive Manufacturing.

For instance, our Automotive sector corner highlighted our efforts towards the Euro 7 regulation, which extends rulings to brake disc emissions to reduce fine particle emissions from disc abrasion. At ArcelorMittal, we are ready to tackle this challenge and are working closely with major industry players.

We also presented our roof crush solution, designed to reinforce the Body in White structure in case of rollover, a PACE Automotive News Award nominee performance insert. Additionally, we showcased the collaboration between HP and ArcelorMittal, aimed at developing new steel solutions and applications in partnership with customers at the ArcelorMittal Research Center.

Together with theSteelPrinters, we demonstrated how 3D printed parts in Steel perform under the harshest production conditions, driving cost savings, enhancing quality and reliability, and boosting productivity across ArcelorMittal operations.

At our digital corner, 3D enthusiasts learned about our unique digital tools and how they can help customers worldwide get more out of their 3D printers. We showcased how innovative companies successfully have beta-tested the cutting-edge ArcelorMittal AdamIQ™ Optimization Algorithm, achieving remarkable and surprising results.

The four days were incredibly intense and insightful, filled with meaningful conversations and shared experiences within the additive manufacturing industry. Steel remains, and will continue to be, the material of choice for industrial applications now and in the future.

Thank you to our entire team and to everyone who visited us to learn about SAM.
